Powerball Number Generator
The Powerball number generator draws five different white-ball numbers from 1 to 69 and one Powerball from 1 to 26, the same format as a quick pick at a retailer. Press Generate Numbers for a line, and again for the next one.

How to draw a random Powerball line
- Five white balls. The page draws whole numbers from 1 to 69 and keeps drawing until it has five different ones. They are shown lowest first.
- One Powerball. A separate draw from 1 to 26. It may match one of the white-ball numbers, as in the real game, because it comes from its own pool.
This is the same format as a quick pick at a retailer. Each draw on this page is independent of the last, and of the official drawing.
The numbers come from the browser's cryptographic random generator, the same source the random number generator uses. The method is described in how our randomness works.
Powerball rules, price and odds
| White balls | 5 different numbers from 1 to 69 |
|---|---|
| Powerball | 1 number from 1 to 26 |
| Price of a play | $2 |
| Drawings | Monday, Wednesday and Saturday |
| Odds of the jackpot | 1 in 292,201,338 |
| Overall odds of any prize | 1 in 24.87 |
The format, price and drawing days are from the Virginia Lottery's Powerball page, and the odds from the official Powerball prize chart, both checked on October 16, 2026.
The jackpot odds follow from the format. There are 11,238,513 ways to choose 5 numbers out of 69, times 26 possible Powerballs, which makes 292,201,338 combinations. The same counting, explained under lottery mathematics, gives the odds of the smaller prizes.
Does a Powerball number generator improve your odds?
No. Every combination has the same chance of being drawn, so numbers from this page are no more and no less likely to win than numbers you choose yourself. A past drawing has no effect on the next one.
A random line does tend to avoid the patterns many players pick, such as birthdays. That only matters for how many people would share a prize.
This page is not connected to Powerball, does not sell tickets and does not show results. Check your ticket with the official lottery, and play only with money you can afford to lose. For other games, such as Mega Millions or a 6 from 49 lotto, use the lottery number generator.
Questions about the Powerball number generator
Can the Powerball be the same number as a white ball?
Yes. The Powerball is drawn from its own pool of 1 to 26, so a line such as 4, 11, 23, 40, 58 with Powerball 23 is valid. The five white balls never repeat each other.
Does the generator add Power Play?
No. Power Play is an option you choose when you buy the ticket, for $1 extra per play according to the Virginia Lottery. It multiplies non-jackpot prizes and has nothing to do with which numbers you play.
Can I make lines for Mega Millions too?
Yes, with the Mega Millions preset in the lottery number generator: five numbers from 1 to 70 and a Mega Ball from 1 to 24.
