Joke Generator

Thirty jokes total, split evenly across three fixed categories (10 dad jokes, 10 science jokes, 10 puns). There's no API call happening — clicking the button just picks a random index from whichever array matches your category selection.

Example

Selecting "Science Jokes" and clicking the button might return: "Why don't scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything!" Selecting "All Jokes" pulls from the combined 30-entry list, so any of the three categories can come up.

Category Breakdown

• Dad Jokes: puns and groaners in the classic dad-joke register ("I'm afraid for the calendar. Its days are numbered.")
• Science Jokes: chemistry, physics, and biology puns aimed at people who'll appreciate "fission chips."
• Puns: general wordplay not tied to a specific subject.

What It Won't Do

The list is fixed at 30 jokes and there's no dedupe or history tracking between clicks, so repeats show up once you've clicked through a category a few times. It won't fetch new jokes or take suggestions — everything shown is hardcoded into the page.

Good For

Breaking up a meeting, seeding a "joke of the day" bot with copy-paste material, or padding out a kids' activity sheet with clean, workplace-safe humor.
