Random Pair Generator Guide

Enter names below (one per line) and choose your group size to randomly create groups.

(2 = pairs, 3 = trios, etc.)

How to Use This Tool

This tool creates random groups from a list of names.

Here is how to use it:

  1. Enter each name on a new line in the text area.
  2. Choose how many names should be in each group. For example, type 2 for pairs or 3 for trios.
  3. Click the "Generate Groups" button.
  4. Review the groups that appear below.

You can then click "Copy Results" to save the output.

Input Fields Explained

The text area is where you write names. Write one name per line.

The number field lets you choose the group size. Enter a value between 2 and 10.

The tool checks that you have entered at least two names. The group size must not be larger than the number of names provided.

Understanding the Output

The tool shows each group with a label such as "Pair" or "Group".

Names in a group are separated by a plus sign.

If the last group has fewer names than selected, the tool displays a note about it.

A summary at the bottom shows the total number of people and groups.

Limitations and Special Notes

You must enter at least two names.

Use a group size between 2 and 10.

The chosen group size cannot exceed the total number of names.

If any error occurs, a message will explain the issue.
